Maternity shoots make me go crazy with excitement. I love interacting with expectant mothers and their beautiful bellies. When expectant mothers reach out to ask me to photograph their maternity shoots I get so excited. I get excited for a few reasons; one, I get to meet the family before the big day. Two, I get to experience a mother’s glow that makes them look so beautiful through my lens. Third, maternity shoots allow me to get creative with those beautiful bellies. Jessica was an amazing subject, she brought along her beautiful family and we captured some amazing shots. Also I could I not snap some photos of the soon to be big sister Elizabeth, she is such a doll! I cannot wait to meet their little princess who should be gracing us with her presence very very soon!

Angel’s newborn session was PERFECT! Spring babies bring me so much joy in life. I have never been a winter person so Spring to me signifies rebirth, colors, sun and new starts. Angel reminded me of that during her newborn session. She had to be the sleepiest baby I have ever photographed which made my job so much easier. She was smiling while sleeping and so posable it was too easy for me to capture so many images. Mom and Dad was so great at following my newborn session PDF rules and they followed them to a “T.” Newborn sessions always bring me so much joy and happiness. Angel was so photogenic and she even made me want to have another baby of my own. Angel’s sister was so cute and precious as she constantly kept an eye on her and made sure she was OK. Angel’s newborn session allowed me to shoot in the type of photo shoot I plan to do going forward. Shooting in more neutral and natural lights are what I want to lead my photo shoots. My new studio allows me to capture more images in the type of settings I am looking for. Lately I have been blessed with opportunities to capture hospital newborn photos! This adorable beautiful little bundle of joy even shared my name. Once I got to the hospital to capture hospital newborn photos I couldn’t help but stare at her and her beauty. Hospital Newborn Photos are such a great way to share your exciting new bundle of news with your family and friends without having to pay those corporate companies an arm and a leg. I offer these sessions along with my newborn packages in order to capture an incredible moment in their life with no hassles. Fresh 48 sessions are so big right now in the photography world and I try my best to convince parents that they shouldn’t pass on this opportunity. Angel was so precious for our hospital newborn photos and her parents were so overjoyed. Let’s not forget about big sister as well with her gorgeous curls. I even was able to meet grandmother’s from both mom’s side as well as dad’s. They were both so kind and in love with their new granddaughter. I can’t wait to photograph Angel’s newborn session in a few days and these photos also gave me an opportunity to meet the parents formerly and meet big sis as well. They were such a cute little family and they were glowing so much with their new arrival. Dad was so proud and mom was so beautiful after delivering Angel. Beautiful girl with beautiful light is all I can say about these Bartlett senior photos. Nicole was stunning and the setting made the senior photos even more stunning. Nicole showed up for our session with such a laid back attitude and willingness to take photos anywhere. Bartlett Senior Photos are important to me and I take them very seriously. I want all local high school seniors to be happy with their photos not only so they can refer me but more importantly so they can feel that they were captured they way they wanted to be photographed. Looking through Nicole’s senior photos brought lots of smiles to my face. I mean take a look through the gallery below and you will see what I am talking about. First of all she is a beautiful girl and her smile is contagious. The setting and the lighting couldn’t be better. The outfit changes that she made were perfect and I use her outfits as examples for other clients as well. One thing I would tell my Bartlett senior photo clients is that I am here to capture you and your personality as best as I possibly can. We chose St Charles area to capture those prairie grass shots and the river lended itself perfectly for Nicole and her beautiful smile. Fresh 48 sessions are becoming all the rage in the photography world. A Fresh 48 session to me is one of the most important moments I can capture for a family. Whether it be a couple’s first time or second, third or fourth there is always something precious and priceless about a baby being brought into this world. I have come to cherish these Fresh 48 sessions so much because I believe this is an intimate and important time for a family to welcome their new bundle of joy to the family. Baby Elle blessed Keegan and Christa with her arrival and I had an opportunity to capture those moments after the birth and the pictures below speak for themselves. Elle was so cooperative and so peaceful. She is a lucky little girl to have two parents that love her so much and a big brother who was so excited to meet her, hold her and love on her as much as he possibly could. I had so many favorites from this session and Christa was just absolutely glowing during my visit. Keegan was walking around the room like the proud daddy that he is and he just looked like he was over the moon with the new addition to their family. This session was perfect for black and white presets. My main goal in a Fresh 48 is to capture the pure excitement, joy, love, exhaustion, etc that a family experiences within the first few days of the birth of their baby. A Fresh 48 to me is integral to any new or experienced mother who is expecting. I am at your beckon call and I tend to be there less than an hour so as to not disturb the new family’s time for bonding.

I LOVE MY NEW BARRINGTON STUDIO! I just wanted to start this blog post with that statement. To have a place where I can go and just let my cares fly by as I just focus on my clients and giving them my best. My new Barrington studio allows me to set up appointments with my clients and give them the best that they deserve. So when the Plaza Family called and booked for a session in my studio I couldn’t be more excited. The reason I was excited for this family to experience my new Barrington studio space is because this same family came to me three years ago when they welcomed the sweet baby girl, Avery, to their family. I did that photo shoot on location and I was in a place in my business where I felt I needed a space to step up my game. Now fast forward three years later in my new Barrington studio and I was able to capture this beautiful family using natural light in both spaces inside the studio. Avery has such a big girl attitude and even kicked mom and dad out of the studio a few times to spend some photo time with me in peace. It was extremely cute. Repeat clients make my heart happy! To have a returning client tells me that I am doing something right. My goal for every client is for them to enjoy their photo experience and for us to cultivate a relationship. I want to photograph a family as they grow and celebrate. I believe the new Barrington studio will allow me to please my clients even more. I need to take a minute and rave about this senior session. Eric was an amazing subject and his senior session was perfect. This high school senior could easily be a model that you see in magazines. He did most of the work and took interest in posing himself. He was a godsend. His senior session was done at sunset and the location we used was perfect for him and his personality. Senior sessions are always an important moment in any high-schoolers life. I love how today’s senior gets to have their own senior sessions and do not have to pose for those corny school photos in front of my backdrop that I had to go through. SO AWKWARD! Senior sessions are probably my second favorite sessions to shoot behind newborns. Eric was so fun to shoot and easy to work with. I dare to say he was better at posing and more photogenic at some points that some of my female senior subjects. Eric also dabbles in photography so it was fun to show him some of my tricks. Vaso’s Maternity Shoot was hands down one of the most artistic photo shoots I have ever done. Vaso has been one of my most repeat customers and also one of my biggest referral clients. I have received so many referrals from her and it makes me smile anytime I receive a new client because of her. She has become more of a friend than a client over the past five years. So when she called me to tell me she was pregnant with her fourth I knew we had to capture some really cool maternity shots. Vaso has always been a fun subject to photograph. She is always up for something new and I know I can always count on capturing some great images. Vaso’s Maternity Shoot was exhilarating, shooting a barely dressed mamma to be in the snow was so fun. I always made sure to have an assistant (Vaso’s daughter) near by with a coat to keep mommy safe during her maternity shoot. We captured these breathtaking images at and in her home and I was able to provide some great memories for her and her family. Did I mention that she is having a girl? Four pregnancies, four girls! God Bless Dad who was very excited to be welcoming another girl.

Maternity Sessions are always fun to photograph. Maternity Sessions with Brent and Amanda, two very beautiful people is even more fun. Brent and Amanda mean so much to our family so when they were blessed with having a baby they reached out to me to help with capturing maternity photos. I was over the moon that they asked and my mind started racing right away with what I could do with them. Amanda is always glowing and pregnancy has done her right. She was especially beautiful this day and the photos show that. Brent, handsome as ever, was so amazing with Amanda and so protective of her and their bundle of joy. These two came up all the way from Oklahoma to do these photos and I was not going to disappoint them. Their wishes were my command. The day was a little windy and on the cooler side but Amanda was a trooper and posed so perfectly for me. Maternity Sessions allow me to connect with the parents before the birth and also allows me to learn from them as to what works for them and what doesn’t. There is never a bad time to take senior photos. A teenager’s senior year is one of the most important years of their life and those yearbook photos can either cap their year off right or spell disaster for a teen for years to come. When I photography a senior I make sure they get the best photos possible. Danielle is such an amazing woman who does so much. She has been my daughter’s cheer leading Jr coach for two years now and she has a connection with my daughter that I appreciate so much. When Danielle came to me and shared her ideas with me I was so excited to capture her concepts. Danielle’s Senior Photos are some of my favorites to share with potential clients because it shows how my main objective with each session is to make the client happy and heard. This girl is so beautiful, tall, funny and adventurous, I mean who else gets on their wake board in the lake in a beautiful dress for that one shot they want. Her smile was mesmerizing and her laugh was contagious. What made the senior photos flow really well was that mom and sister came along to help with wardrobe changes, hair and makeup touch up which I thought was so thoughtful and smart. That is something I have suggested to other clients as well since these senior photos. I want to thank Danielle, her mother and sister for a great experience and for helping me do what I love to do. Baby Graham and my Newborn Photography | Barrington Il Newborn Photographer

Newborn Photography is my favorite. I had the pleasure of photographing Baby Graham this past week for a newborn mini session. Once we started shooting at my new studio in Barrington it was clear that baby Graham was alert, awake and ready for the camera. Generally I tell my clients with newborns that I would prefer a sleepy baby so I can form and pose the newborns easier but baby Graham had other plans in mind. We still got some great newborn shots and I am so happy with how the mini session turned out. More importantly I am in the process of changing my photography style and my newborn photography and if you look at the session photos below you will notice that I am going for a more natural and neutral look. It is the trend in newborn photography and my new studio in Barrington is allowing to be more creative and flexible. There are some great setups for me to grab some amazing photos as evident here with Baby Graham. He was so photogenic and I enjoyed hanging out in the studio with him and his amazing parents. A downtown St Charles photo session was the perfect place to take pictures of these girls and their mom. Julie and her girls have been clients of mine for three years now and they are so fun and easy going to photograph. The photos below speak for themselves. When Julie contacted me about this session I couldn’t think of a better place than St Charles for a fun urban photo session of her and her girls. Look at those girls and their smiles. They actually like each other and you can see that in the photos, (LOL). St Charles lends itself well to a family session because of its old buildings and vintage looks. The brick in some of these photos also plays well for a session. It was a beautiful fall day and the girls along with Julie picked the perfect outfits to work with the ambiance of St Charles. These girl have been fun to watch grow up through my lens and I am so honored to be a part of their lives. My goal with every photo shoot is to get to know my clients and become someone they can trust and feel comfortable around. If my clients feel that way then my job becomes so much easier. Fresh 48 sessions. Nothing brings me more joy in photography than being allowed to photograph a newborn two days new. To be one of the first people to meet a new addition to a family is always an honor that I take seriously. That new baby smell and those little fingers and toes give me goosebumps every time I shoot a Fresh 48 session. Leila was so perfect for our newborn Fresh 48 shoot and I couldn’t ask for a better model. Two days new and sleepy as can be Leila allowed me to capture some really great photos of her in all her perfection. Its always such a pleasure to meet a family before their scheduled session. Probably relieves some nerves on the parents part as well as my own:) What can I say but Leila is a complete doll! So beautiful, so sweet! Loved all her little details. Fall Family Photos – The Riddles | Dupage County Il Family Photographer

I love fall family photos! The colors, the leaves, the trees all make it the perfect surroundings for a family session around sunset. I love taking photos just right before sunset so I can take advantage of that fading sun light in the background. The Riddles were so laid back which made the session so relaxing and allowed me to capture some great shots of the kids as well as the parents. The Riddles picked the perfect outfits for fall family photos. When doing fall family photos outfits are just as important to the photo shoot as much as the subjects and weather. Check out some of the images below to see what I am talking about. Little accessories like scarves and jewelry can enhance an outfit so much. When the Riddles reached out to me to book a session I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot and this location offered so many awesome opportunities for me to do single shots of the kids with all the great photographic backdrops. These kids were so easy to work with and those smiles are to die for. With spring around the corner I plan on utilizing this location again for the blooming of all the flowers and their colors which will lend perfectly to any shot. The Riddles shared with me that they had not taken any family photos aside from event photos and throughout the editing process i knew that they would appreciate these photos so much so i put a lot of work into them. Engagement Sessions are always so much fun!

I cannot tell you how much fun I had photographing two of my closest friends, Ned and Sunita’s Engagement Session was amazing. The location and the ideas that we used for this photoshoot are some of my favorite to date. Warning: this just may be my longest blog post ever! There were way to many beautiful images to choose from. Take a look and see the places we found and the fun we had on such a perfect autumn day. Waterfalls, trails, canoes and one of the cutest little girls, Meelah, make for a beautiful setting. From the moment I saw their smiles I knew we would be in for a fun and easy going session. Engagement sessions make me feel so special. For a couple to allow me to photograph their announcement is an honor in itself but I have known these three special people for close to four years and they asked me to come up with an engagement session that spoke to their interests and personalities. It was fun scouting out areas around Bartlett, Schaumburg, St Charles and Elgin, IL and discovering some gems along the way. When I meet a future bride and groom I try to get to know them and who they are and what they love. Only then can someone capture a couple in their natural environament where they feel most comfortable and happy. Ned and Sunita did just that from the first shot.
